I'm located on 21st street just East of Taylor Ave in a very friendly and respectable area! I have a fenced in yard with children play equipment.
My home is open for daycare both 1st & 2nd shifts, Monday-Friday typically between the hours of 6 am and 11pm. Exceptions will be made upon my discretion-opening early or closing late. Please give me a call if you need different hours.
The initial step of enrolling your child is to arrange an informal interview meeting with you and the child or children concerned. This enables us to get a chance to find out a little bit more about each other and to make sure that the children feel comfortable in my presence. During this time we go over my daycare procedures, the type of care you will need, emergency & authroized pick-up people, and fill out proper paper work.
In my home I participate in the USDA - 4Cs Food Program and believe that filling your child’s body with nutritious foods will help ensure that a healthy brain is sure to follow! All meals and snacks are served daily with fresh fruits and veggies, whole wheat/grains, with low or no sugar/salt added. If your child has a special diet or food allergy please let me know ASAP.
Should your child become ill while in my care, I will notify you immediately and you will be expected to pick up your child ASAP (within one hour. I strive to provide consideration for the other families as well as my family, if your child is sick (fever or not), has an infection, or is contagious in any way, please notify me. I have the right to send your child home if I notice a suspicious rash or if in my opinion your child is ill. Your child may return to my home with written documentation from your doctor. Each parent is responsible for having an alternate child care arrangement.
You will be responsible for paying a two-week non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be used towards the final two weeks of your child’s care, be deducted for any late fees that occur, and can also be used as a reserve should you stumble upon financial difficulties. Should you choose to remove your child from my home without a two-week notice the remainder becomes non-refundable.
My child care will be closed on the following holidays. Special exceptions may apply and will be determined on a case-by-case basis: New Year’s Eve and New Year's DayGood FridayMemorial DayJuly 4thLabor DayThanksgiving and the day afterChristmas Eve, Day, and the day after
What will my child need to attend your daycare? You are expected to provide diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, powder, diaper ointment, and any other toiletries needed for your child. Parents will also provide seasonal items such as: swimsuit, swim trunks, towels, sunscreen, water shoes, swmdiapers, bug repellant, light jackets, heavy winter coats, gloves, boots, hats, scarves, and snow suits. I would like to keep a minimum of 2 changes of clothes at all times-if potty training 3-5 with extra underwear, socks, shoes.
You are welcome to visit my home anytime your child is in my care. Anyone on your special people list can attend field trips, visit, or participate in special activities. I will be taking the children in my care on outings such as: nature walks, trips to the park, the library, museums, etc.
Although I am a Home Provider I wish to run my home like a center. I have a schedule and find that the children excel when they stick to it. If you want your child to learn, let them lead you! They will direct me what their individual needs/interests are and I will focus on that. I will NOT force your child to do something that they show ME they are not interested in! They like it, we do it! They LEARN!!!
What WILL your child do when they start coming to my home daily? Well, I believe learning should be fun and that's what I live by everyday! We will go to the park, sing&dance, play musical instruments, play with manipulatives, do circle time (this is when the children learn their fundamentals-ABC'S #'s, Calendar, Weather, etc.), read books, practice writing, work on a science experiment at least once a week (sometimes daily) and do a nice messy art project at least 2 times a week (sometimes daily)!
